On April 18th, 29 fifth-grade students from Tianjiao Primary School, filled with curiosity, visited the Guanlan Fireworks Intangible Cultural Heritage Research and Learning Base, embarking on a "Mysterious Journey into the Birth of Fireworks"!
Led by the staff, the children visited the mechanical insertion, manual insertion, and paper-pasting workshops. In the mechanical insertion workshop, fully automated equipment was quickly and accurately installing fuses on the fireworks. The students watched intently, repeatedly exclaiming, "Amazing!" In the manual insertion area, the master craftsmen's fingers flew, completing a set of fuse installations in just a few seconds.
The most lively part was the "dressing fireworks" paper-pasting experience! The children gathered around the workbench; some were bending over to press the paper, some had their tongues sticking out nervously, and some almost wrapped themselves up with the packaging paper. When they finally finished their first ever, crooked paper-pasting, a little boy ran around the room holding up his work: "Look! My firework is wearing its battle armor!" But when they heard that the uncles and aunts in the factory could finish over a hundred in an hour, the entire workshop erupted in a chorus of "Wow!" A boy wearing glasses pushed up his glasses, his eyes wide with amazement: "That's incredibly fast!"
Entering the Guanlan Fireworks Product Showroom, the children were immediately captivated by hundreds of fireworks with various shapes and designs. The showroom was filled with exclamations of "Wow!" Following the Guanlan Fireworks explainer, the children found familiar buildings on Guanlan's main visual screen and learned about the story of Li Tian, the ancestor of fireworks. From ancient firecrackers for exorcism to modern artistic fireworks, the small firework actually holds a thousand years of wisdom!
Guanlan firmly believes that allowing children to personally touch the warmth of traditional craftsmanship and witness the integration of technology and craftsmanship firsthand is the best growth lesson.
In the future, we hope more children will visit Guanlan, planting seeds of curiosity about traditional culture and reverence for excellence amidst the roar of machinery and the instructions of craftsmen—because the small spark ignited today may be the brilliant fireworks that illuminate the industry's future!
